I'm a nas fan, But i just cant get into j.cole. i mean i tried, i gave j.cole a shot, his mix tapes was alright but not groundbreaking to me and his first album was pretty bad. I haven't got around to the second album yet. I'm just not that interested. And I'm pretty sure I'm younger than cole

Sure.... I listen to J. Cole and Nas

But I prefer Jay-Z to Nas so I don't know if that makes me Nas fan especially the way the stan wars work around here...

I'm a fan of both but Cole musically lacks the depth of nas in both lyrical prowess and song writing.

Cole is enjoyable. As cliche as his sounds "I like his older shyt better". His tracks then seem to have more replay value/longevity to them now than most of tracks he is making today. I thought coles album was a good effort but I haven't played a single track off of it outside of maybe the first 2 weeks listening.

The only thing keeping cole from being just another rapper in the bunch is he is usually able to generate a hit or two on his albums. Something tells me though he might have a better second half of his career (album wise) than his first.
