5) Major Distribution was NEVER released as a single, it was just put on I-Tunes

You have to define a flop . Ross got number 1 record with under 100,000 records and that wasn't a flop , 50 had The #27 single before the YouTube views counts imagine with them it would of debuted higher ( I'm pretty sure my life debuted higher than pop that amen and diced pineapples ) it's hard to get a nondrake track to number 1

My Life was 50 and the label's last ditch attempt at securing a bonified mainstream pop hit record that they could finally release 50's long 2 year delayed album....an Eminem feature being his obvious ace in the hole...they went all in, added Adam Levine...shot the 90's style big budget video...premiered it live on network television and did all they could to push the song...debuting at #27 off of one week's i-tunes sales and then briskly plummeting completely off the charts in 3 weeks total was NOT what any party involved had in mind...i can assure you ....there's a reason why 50 went from being all giddy talking about how the album was guranteed to drop Feb. 26 when the song first came out...to the album being pushed back AGAIN, this time indefinitely, after the single completely collapsed off the chart

It's the quintessential failed single...if it isn't a flop, there is no such thing as flops...the song was projected to be a top 10 on the hot 100 that would have a several month long chart life and multiplatinum digital seller that could serve as a proper launch for 50's album...it fell from #27 to #88 in it's second week, and was completely off the charts forever after 3 weeks...it hasn't even went gold digitally...an abject failure that's now completely dead...and leaves them in a worse spot than before it was released, just as cold and buzzless as before...but with who knows how much of the promo budget completely squandered...keeping in mind they've been working this album for 2 years already, you just have think they're somewhere like " the hell do we do next "
