Tsu vs Clips was a classic 3-0
Roc vs JC was a classic
Steams vs Boom was a classic
Law Vs Rell was dope

You're judging URL off some of the more recent battles featuring wack battlerappers. Any league if falling off if their last two battles had k shine, DNA and Calicoe in them. :snoop:

Cal vs DNA terrible
Shine vs Cortez shine was trash
Shine vs Ill forgettable.. Shine was trash

I wouldn't say they are falling off but they need to step up the audio quality pronto or other leagues are gonna come knock them out of the box

Their production values have actually gotten worse lately for some reason

Take Math vs John John Da Don that dropped in May. Sound and video was perfectly acceptable. Compare it to the recent JC vs John John Da Don battle, the mics are all fukked up.

Seems like dudes running the show are putting virtually no time and effort into the presentation

they dropped the ball with the lux vs hollow shyt...if smaller leagues are able to do ppv succesfully i dont see why a league as big as url can't to do it..it doesnt have to be some hbo shyt just make the video and audio clear and we straight...all we really wanna hear is bars anyway

this is their biggest problem right now. The audio and video is god awful when compared to everyone else. Even the fly by night leagues.

their 2nd biggest problem is matchups no one really cares for while letting smaller and less important leagues take ones the fan do care for. They let their top tiers dictate who they face and who they don't face. Then we get a battle finalized two weeks before the event and these dudes haven't written anything and have poor showings. A battle like clips/JC shouldve been 3 rounds on a URL stage. Clips/Hitman/Surf battles shouldve happened a long time ago.Verb and arsonal too. Its like they hold onto potentially great battles instead of striking while the iron is hot. For instance, they talking about Tay Roc/Clips rematch at summer madness 4. summer madness is in late august, we in january. Clips says hes back and tay roc on a hot streak and says hes ready. That battle needs to go down asap. in 7 months i dont think anyone will care as much as they do now unless they both stay hot. They could've had every battle on that UW card a year ago if they wouldve put some work in(not counting lux and the 40k fiasco)

i wouldn't count them out though. UW still has to follow up that card with something just as official which is gonna be hard but URL is slowly losing the lead they had

I agree with everything except url is losing the lead. There's nobody to compete with for url to ever lose the crown or even feel pressure. No other league drops battes, or holds events on a consistent basis like url does. They're really in a lane of their own when it comes to this battlerap shyt. UW will have this big card, maybe another card by the end of the year, then fizzle out unti 2015. We're geting at least two more big events from url by the end of the year.

Events needed to be handled more professionally aka sound checks before the day of the event if possible and on the day of. Things should be set up early. Have some kind of itinerary to follow. Up the presentation (in the footage aka lighting and whatever else to make things look as good as possible.

Getting battlers to the stage should never be a problem too :stopitslime:.

URL still gets the talent to go to them, has a following of fans and the new talent is better than what I've seen from other leagues. They just can't be complacent with what they have.

but what if this is the turning point for UW? What if they do come out of this event and not take their foot off the gas pedal? There used to be this league that had the game on smash named grindtime, remember them? UW found sponsors to get lux/hollow whereas URL couldn't.

Like I said, UW can afford to gamble and pay Lux because they do a fraction of the business URL does every year. If Smack was throwing 2-3 events a year, then I'm sure he could've made Lux v hollow happen. Why pay one battler 40k + pay other battlers on that card, when you can't take tht same 40k and use that for multiple events?

And GT was never at the level of popularity where URL is today.

Nah, just need a better layout plan for battles and stop waiting so long for anticipated battles. Sometimes they do it right, sometime they do it wrong. Like Charlie Clips and B-Magic..immediately B-Magic next opponent was DNA [doing it right]

I don't think they dropped the ball on Lux/Hollow, honestly i wouldn't drop that much for one battler either. Beasley explained in detail in his Untold Truth video.

And a lot of these battles happen elsewhere because lets face it these dudes try to basically extort Smack, and then publicly air it out on stage for bragging rights. As a promoter after a while its like do i keep letting these nikkas do this? or bite the bullet and let the battle happen elsewhere and save money.

Another thing is holding venues longer than a day, from reading online about how unorganized a lot of these events are and the rush for it. Then the waiting time between battles plus the battles them self. Hold half the event 1 day and the other half the next, seems to be working for KOTD.

Another thing is putting some new faces on bigger stages. Seeing the same names is :shaq2: after a while

Religion is dumb b
UW I need to see more from them before they pass URL. As soon as KOTD gets their views up they will be ahead of URL, they literally do EVERYTHING ELSE better than URL. The video quality is better, they do PPV, much much much more professional, nikkas having pamphlets for the card, all the little things they do aswell. I don't even like most KOTD battles but as a company as soon as their views start to get even close to URL's it's game over unless Smack n Beasley all of a sudden start thinking like white people.
