I'm all but sure that as long as Dolan is the owner of the Knicks then they will be one of the worse run franchises in sports.

The Knicks have been a joke since the minute after they traded away Ewing.

Yes, it's been that long. Worst sports organization in America.

No, see that's being a little shortsighted. What frightens me, as a Knicks fan, is that Phil is being allowed to stick around for another two years, where he has promised that he is going to be "more involved" as respects trying to implement the triangle, and he is going to waste time trying to prove that the triangle works as a standalone offense. That could mean that he passes on glaring team needs in the draft like a dynamic point guard to pick some player who is more "triangle-friendly". Now add to that the fact that Phil said on Friday that his aim isn't necessarily to win a title but to "change the culture". So now what happens is that after two years, we're back to square one because whoever is hired to replace Phil to run the basketball operations is more than likely NOT going to be a triangle proponent. So that renders all this time spent as a glorified experiment.

This would be have been the ideal time for Jim Dolan to tell Phil to kick rocks, just based off the record alone. The team has gotten worse, not better, and it seems that Phil wants none of the blame even though he runs the show. But the problem is, now you've got Dolan on some :hubie:when it comes to getting rid of Phil, cause he likes the fact that the main person people are beefing about is Phil and not him. And he can always fall back and say, "hey, I did what ya'll niiggas wanted and fell back... Now ya'll want me to get involved again?" So it's probably worth $24 milly to Dolan to keep Phil around another two years to take all the bullets.

As Knicks fans, we just want to see something that indicates that there's a clear and viable plan in place. It's been clear from jump that Phil doesn't know what he's doing, and his more recent moves and actions have :wtf: written all over them. What team president is out here badmouthing his star player in the media? Throwing shade over twitter? What team president talks bad about a player that he is known to be trying to trade, and then thinking that he's gonna get maximum value for that same player that you just outlined all ya problems with? It makes no sense.... "Hey I'm selling this 2014 Kia Optima... The alternator is a little quirky, the brakes are shot... The transmission might need an overhaul too. Sometimes it just stops in traffic without warning... But I can't let it go for less than $25K" The average niigga on the street can look at the way Phil moves as an exec and go :patrice:

Phil's been terrible I agree, but he is out of here in two years regardless. He did draft Porzingis when everyone wanted him to draft Mudiay which is a plus. Obviously if he has the opportunity to pick someone like Fox or Monk (which I think both will be pretty good nba players) over someone that fits the triangle and is a flop then yeah that's an issue but the Knicks have done bad with draft picks before so hoping for the best is all you can do. What he's doing to Carmelo is fukked up but it's probably the only way he get really get him out of NY. It was probably Dolan who pushed the contract with the no trade clause anyway. The Isiah Thomas years were just as bad and that lasted from 04-08. They were in the playoffs at least three years later after the fact and that was with a few lottery picks that they eventually gave up for Carmelo. If they suck for a few more years I'm cool with that to be honest. Go for a full rebuild, Porzingis and Hernangomez are not bad young players that they have from the draft so far and go from there. The NBA NEEDS NY TO BE GOOD as well keep that in mind.

That actually was one of SAS better rants if you ask me. Nice build up and finish:ehh:

If this rant gets popular and gets played on different outlets- if you're a Knick fan, this rant can help in getting Phil Jackson fired

NBA doesnt need ny to be good though. They know the fans will show up. They are worried their other markets, and that is why they gave the Lakers two top 5 picks. Knicks won't get anywhere without high draft picks. Fans need to stop supporting this bs.
