Trevor Ariza thinks highly of Kobe even though it's been about 4 years since he won a championship with him.

Mamba Mentality # Kobe&GiGi. #LakerNation #LWO
Here come the excuses. Bu Bu But Buss traded Shaq not Kobe. Do you really think Buss would have broken up a dynasty if he didn't have to. Admit it Laker Stans Kobe is a terrible person who nobody wants to be around. MJ would have never chased away Shaq and D12.

Yeah cause MJ not only fought his teammates and belittled them constantly. He got so arrogant that he quit on them to play Baseball.

O'Neal, at that point in his lifetime, had played with Anfernee and Kobe, u honestly don't think they didn't help free up space for O'Neal to put up those numbers?

These are the numbers a rookie shaq put up with scott skiles and nick anderson as his guards.

23 points, 14 rebounds, 2, dimes, 3.5 blocks, 56% from the field, oh and hte magic won 20 more games than last season

:leostare:

It's idiotic to say Kobe and Penny freed space for Shaq when it was the other way around

Nope but when Shaq is running pass Dr Buss during preseason games yelling "fukking pay me" that might play a significant part in it.

The offensive threats that they both were, helped each other out. Bryant and Hardaway were threats to score, would draw attention to themselves, and then pass it to O'Neal, and vice versa.

Chases away Shaq who gave him 3 rings
Chases away D12 because he couldn't keep his ego in check
Turns Steve Nash into a jump shooter
Doesn't stick up for Pau or try to involve him more even though Pau helped him win 2 rings

Doc Buss chased away shaq cause he didnt give shaq his extension. shaq admitted time and time again that it had ZERO to do with kobe. shaq didnt leave. he got the boot by the buss family. since he start talking crazy and saying "PAY ME" while on the court during preseason. see i'm a laker fan so i know the inside scoop. the rest of yall haters just hold onto to whatever BSPN tells you.

if they would've signed shaq, kobe might have left to the clippers. it was never the other way around. the lakers front office chose a younger more hard working kobe over an older always hurt less hard working shaq.

shaq won one more title. kobe won 2. seems like the lakers made the right choice.

shaq was becoming a #2 option. but he refused to realize it. hence why he asked for a max deal and thats why the lakers were not going to give it to him.

D12 admitted time and time again he didnt want the pressure of having to live up to shaq's legacy, wilts legacy, kareems legacy. that was dwight saying that.

sorry. we don do immature babies here.

nash is 40 years old, and got hurt multiple times this season(first time in his career). yep, nash should be a jump shooter and not much more at that point. most pg's are when they are that old and hurt. oh you need proof?

old man jason kidd with the mavs, with the knicks. he wasnt a great pg like he was with the nets all those years. he was a catch and shoot pg that on occasion would penetrate and dish or swing the ball around the perimeter. so should we call dirk a bad leader for turning jkidd into a jumpshooter? LOL.

stop it.

great leaders DEMAND greatness from their teammates.

you notice no matter how many times the lakers org wants to throw pau in the bushes he wants to stay. WHY is that? i thought kobe is a terrible teammate?

thats cause pau unlike a lot of clowns that yall like. is a champion.

90% of yall route for teams that have never seen a ship in yalls lifetime. and i'm not talking to heat bandwagon fans that didnt even know the heat was in miami until lebron got there.

yall dont know what it takes to win since yall have never seen a winning franchise up close and personal. so yall think "everyone on the team should be all smiles and happy go lucky all the time or else its bad leadership."

Lebron didnt win a ring when he was doing pre game dance routines and taking fake photos with his teammates. he lost. he started to win when you saw him getting at chalmers, bosh and even wade at times on the court. going at his on coach at times. you never saw that in cleveland. he was to nice, to happy go lucky to do that. he didnt want to hurt anyone's feelings. losers are happy go lucky 24/7 and dont understand when its time to be serious. even smiling magic told dwight to stop smiling after losses.

sorry if the glove dont fit...../thread

name me another 5 time ring having guy thats called the worst teammate ever. its a lie.

Bryant and Hardaway were great scorers that benefited from O'Neal's presence, 'cause they would make entry and alley-oop passes with Shaq, and even ran the pick-and-roll here and there. With Kobe and the other shooters around him, O'Neal had more real estate to work with on the low block, would make outlet passes. Not sure why ur bringin' up other names which I have not discredited or propped up Anfernee or Kobe over :stopitslime: just statin' the fact that they helped O'Neal get his, and vice versa.

Trevor Ariza On Kobe, Durant, and LeBron - YouTube

just find the interviews of lbj, dwade, durant, etc talking about what kobe did for their games after they played with him in one olympics. only wade had a title. the others did not. durant got better after that. more refined game. so did westbrook. wade and lebron started really concentrating on their defense. not just flashy defense (sit in the passing lane). melo's game went to another level as well after playing with kobe. they all admitted as much.

playing with greatness elevates your game. UNLESS you are afraid of being better. unless you are to lazy to be better.

thats a lie. kobe fans in LA dont see kobe most of the time. those that do. LOVE him. and never have a bad thing to say about him.

L.A loves Kobe the player and Kobe the Champion

We could give a fuk about Kobe as a Man

In the City of L.A Magic will always be > Kobe

As a player and person.

what does that have to do with basketball? NOTHING.

there isnt a single player in the nba that trumps magic as a player/person combo
not shaq, not lebron, not dwight.

shaq fun loving but can be an A-hole if he doesnt get his way.

lebron-fun loving, loves to pass, but can be a sore loser(wont shake hands after a loss), the decision(how it was done not that it was done).

dwight-fun loving guy. but is to much of a clown to be serious enough to get this championship.

kobe-no one knows how he is behind closed doors. seems to be serious, isnt about laughing and joking all the time. but will work harder then anyone to reach his goal and to get his team to the top. in person isnt a bad dude, never heard anyone who has met him personally have a bad thing to say about him off the court.

magic-fun loving guy. loves to pass(he was a pg, thats his job), but still works his butt off to win. off the court a great guy as well. never heard of him being an A hole to anyone.

no player will beat magic as being a great player and a great person.
