According to Bill Cowher, Gabbert has looked great
The same guy that wanted to bench Kaep during the Super Bowl?
Just wait till we're 1-6 with the QB ranked dead last in virtually every stat. He'll have to make a change. If not then we know the front office has their nose in it cuz if Kaep gets injured, they're on the hook for next year's salary.

There are many similarities there. Smith in his 5th year reminds me a lot of Gabbert.
I know what's happening, and if that's the case I don't get why they didn't just RG3 Kap or trade him in the offseason and move on.
