After watching Gabbert vs the Cowboys, I think the "Gabbert sucks" stuff is a bit ridiculous. But I do question whether he's physically capable of running this offense consistently for 4 quarters. He seemed winded a bit... and although I think he played well for the most part, a low energy level can lead to mental errors.

He really didn't make that many mistakes, but naturally we need to see Kap running that offense to get a better idea of if it's the offense itself that is the problem, or they just don't have the right QB. Gabbert almost had as many rushes as Carlos Hyde, it seems like a no-brainer to give Kap a shot if THAT'S what you expect from your QB. But I wouldn't be mad if they go with Gabbert for one more game to see if he can pace himself a little better.

You can't rule out the idea that the offense needs be tweaked when your running back splits the carries with your QB, and your coach says stuff like this "We were moving the ball. We have to make a play there on third-and-6 and fourth-and-6," coach Chip Kelly said. "It was 6 yards. We have to be able to covert."

If you need to gain 2 yards, and you have two chances to do it? I'd understand the frustration. But he's talking about 6 YARDS, that is not a "gimme" in the NFL. Chip Kelly is wacked out...

While Gabbert looked horrible in Jacksonville...he looks better with the 9ers. The issue is he is white so that gives him privilege, then the Kaep media issue with him not standing and kneeling, and Gabbert being not horrible enough to bench and clearly not good enough to get a winning record...this leaves him the job until someone comes along who isn't controversial and better than Gabbert.
I think Kaep is better than Gabbert but his regression and injuries last year and the loss of Harbarough and Tomsula not being capable doomed Kaep.

I ain't gonna lie...the Boys lack of pass rush made Gabbert look competent at times. Playing teams with bad defenses who can't pressure and rush QB would make Gabbert look good...

Gabbert is too incosistent, if he sucked flat out it`d be a lot easier to get rid of him

But the major flaws in his game aren't going away, that's what is going to do him in.

Reality is he is a good backup, end of story.

When I heard the crowd I was like "is this in Dallas?". It legit sounded like a Dallas home game from the tv
From the TV, you had to be there family :wow:

We legit had a 3-4 good "LETS GO COWBOYS" chants going. We even stole there first down celebration and started saying it when we got first downs. My voice just came back today :wow:

Gabbert looked functional on the scripted plays to start the game. After that he turned to poop.
