there were plans for it and i believe they stopped because Barett got injured

I never believed the reports of him being a MITB winner. I think when the Nexus storyline exposed how average he was in the ring, they changed a lot of plans that they had for him.

If they didn't have such goofy ass writers and if wrestlers weren't so damn handcuffed, everybody would have a chance. Since that's not the case, Barrett and other dudes are basically on a never-ending treadmill, trading wins and losses. Well, Neville hasn't even been on the roster that long, and is already directionless.
- King Barrett is suffering from an injury of some kind, which is why he was noticably absent from Monday's RAW. Barrett was at the TLC pay-per-view on Sunday, but was reportedly already dealing with the injury. The severity of the injury isn't clear, although F4WOnline.com is reporting that more details regarding Barrett's injury should become available soon.

As noted, King Barrett is reportedly out of action with an injury.
According to PWInsider, word is that Barrett is out with some kind of arm injury, possibly his shoulder. There's still no word on the severity of the injury or how long he will be out but we'll keep you updated. Barrett had suffered a shoulder injury during a match withJack Swagger in June of 2014 which required surgery and kept him out of action for five months.
Barrett appeared in a WWE TLC pre-show segment with The League of Nations on Sunday but did not appear live during any of their matches that night. Barrett also did not appear live on RAW last night.
Barrett's last match was at last Tuesday's Tribute to The Troops tapings, where he participated in the 16-man main event.
