Homosexuality definitely existed before the modern age. Your example of Roman times being correct. But that's just in the last 2000 years. Humans have been around for 200,000 years. And for most of that history we lived more like the hunter gatherers in Central Africa than we did the Romans.
Homosexuality didn't exist for most of human history. If it did, we wouldn't be around right now to talk about it.
You realize that in the year 2022 of our lord and savior there are mad self identified lesbians and gay men with children? What do you think was happening before these terms/classifications, biases for or against any of this? Same thing? Or was shyt nice and neat?
