Is Jeezy considered a southern legend or he is just another footnote?

So we gonna discredit Jeezy based off a single that's tryna be as "gangsta-pop" as possible for a couple white folks? Can't eem rock like that

It ain't how you start though, its how you finish (ask Tity Boi). If Trap Or Die 3 goes as hard as his old shyt, his longevity is then undeniable and he will forever be a southern legend. Till then he Bun B status (not UGK, the solo act). Which isn't a bad thing because he will always be respected and remembered, but how many people outside the south consider Bun B a legendary artist :ld:

Yes, he's a legend....
Jeezy, T.I. and Gucci are the godfathers of Trap Music in my eyes...

Trap or Die mixtape is a classic and was followed by TM101 which a southern classic....

Which is pretty admirable being it was obvious he hadn't been rapping long and wasn't great technically but he knew how to you make feel what that trapping life was like so vividly

He made "My President is Black" before Obama got elected :blessed:

He took the adlib game to the next level

Definitely not a footnote

Jeezys momentum was built on BMF funding him & being behind him (while also flipping money of course). Once the big heads got locked, most things fell for dude. Said it would happen when Jeezy was out & all the lil wannabe drug dealers idolized dude. Jeezy without his image is nothing. Just another rapper who dont really have skills.

Its just funny how people believe music has a say in whats HOT or not. Its NOT. Its ALWAYS politics & timing.
