Joey Badass biggest issue is in order to be "The Man" you gotta be able to make club bangers. He can't. He can make really popular songs for his niche audience and a song like Devasted had crossover appeal but you can't be "that guy" unless everybody is fukking with you.That's probably his only defining song you can point to, that non-fans and more casual listeners will know.

Joey came in on some 90s boom bap shyt, then switched his style to modernize it, but he still doesn't have those songs that all nikkas bump.
