All this really says is that the money is made with a heel champ and the face chasing the belt. Orton is THE heel champ of this era. This is a wrestling addage as old as the sport itself so is Cena best for business? Sometimes, but not for the long term.
You'd probably have to attribute both the Q1 2012 and Q1 2013 spikes (the highest peaks) to The Rock returning and reinvigorating the main event scene. That rise in in the chart going into Q1 2013 was specifically when Rock held the belt too.

Actually the spike in Q4 2010 was Miz's title reign, the 2 gaps in Q3 2011 was Del Rio's reign, the peak in Q1 2013 was Rock's reign and the two gaps at the end were Daniel Bryan's reign that Orton cashed in on.
