yes coker only lost less than 9 games his final year as coach, but anyone paying attention at the time realized at that point he had bled miami dry. if he had stuck around it would have been just as bad as the shannon era. he's lucky he didnt get canned after 05 season. miami destroyed a top 10 va tech team (overrated, yes i know) on the road having everyone thinking the canes were back. then he proceeded to coach them to a loss at home against a team quarterbacked by reggie ball to blow their acc title hopes followed by that 40-3 lsu debacle in the peach bowl.

Coker was still consistently winning 9 games a year. Pretty sure they'd take that now
Word all the Cane fans calling for his head didn't know how good they had it, he might not be the best recruiter but he was literally a play away from winning back to back NC

dan hawkins was pretty awful. dude beat bad wac teams on that cheating ass home blue turf, didnt beat anyone of note at boise, and parlayed that into a job where he was truly exposed as a complete fraud

I don't know how it's not Dan Hawkins...

Colorado year in & year out was a College Football Heavyweight until Hawkins took over & they still haven't recovered from the stench he left there...

This team went from playing for Big 12 Championships to losing to Sacramento State & not even being considered an upset... :heh:
