its hard to tell Tim tebow beasted in college and accomplished more at that level but has been terrible in the league
RGIII was different, his arm, the passes he made down field where breath taking, i don't see Manziel with that type of ability throwing the ball
and he doesn't look that fast running, but is good at using his blockers

He'll get his shot.

I didn't think Russell Wilson was going to be a good NFL QB watching him in college but he proved me wrong over and over last season. With the NFL moving to more wide open offenses, it can only help Manziel.

If he grabs some film on drew brees and study the life out of how drew able to manipulate the pocket with footwork, plus get better on his reads he can make it.
But currently NO all that running he would get smashed with that small frame.

He's an NFL quarterback in the fact that he will get drafted somewhere in the first 3 rounds but he will never be an above average starting QB in the league. Maybe he'll shock us all and work on his deficiencies and improve. But in reality he'll probably be a first or second round bust that a team gives up on after 3 years.

That's exactly who I'd compared him to.

I need to see him a second season before I try and project him on the next level.

He has good feet and can throw Drew Brees type passes......If he remains phonebooth quick and develop a better pocket presence, he might latch on to a team...Everything has to go right though...His receivers gotta be tall and rangy with great route running ability....He might can swing it in a true timing offense

I hate when Russel gets compared to Brees, and I don't see Manziel's game anything like Brees
I mean Brees wasn't even Brees until he went to the Saints

I think he has RG3 type potential in the right offense and I'd draft him in the first based purely on his production. :manny:

Oh. Manziel's game is nothing like Brees. I was just trying to compare body types cause his knock is going to be that he is too small......

Manziel does not have the pocket presence that Russel had at NC State and Wisconsin.....

He's Tebow 2.0. He's a good QB that's perfect for Sumlin's scheme, but he's not the QB they're pumping him to be. The entire SEC will have a year of film on the offense he's running and his skillset so we're going to see how he can adjust.

EDIT:
AND the Vick comparisons are a little goofy because Vick was a freakish athlete who's athletic ability carried his lack of traditional QB skills. Manziel doesn't have that. He's quick, but he ain't even close to Mike. He's going to need to display more traditional QB skills (drop back, arm strength, etc)......Also, Brees and Russ have wayyyy stronger arms than Johnny.
