I won’t say useless. I had covid and got hit bad. Was in icu about 4 days on bi pap. Took the j&j about three months ago. Got covid again about 3 weeks ago. Felt bad but not as bad as without the vaccine. I was on my ass about a week but just felt like a horrible sinus infection.

Did you have any long haul effects from the first go round?

For about 6 months i couldn’t play ball or workout. It did a number on my lungs. But that was only for about 6 months. My breathing back to normal now. The second time after the j&j vaccine had no long term effects.

An old colleague who now works at the NIH made a remark that there’s less of an issue with adverse side effects for black folks using Moderna (Pfizer should be the secondary option). I thought he was speaking in jest but some of my family and friends who have gone and done the Moderna jabs have only walked away with slight fatigue and soreness after a couple days. Seeing people’s post on here regarding their experience with their Moderna shots is reinforcing that statement.

I like J&J also …contrary to the negative opinion that prevails on the board about it.
