I won’t say useless. I had covid and got hit bad. Was in icu about 4 days on bi pap. Took the j&j about three months ago. Got covid again about 3 weeks ago. Felt bad but not as bad as without the vaccine. I was on my ass about a week but just felt like a horrible sinus infection.

tbh after i got the vaccine i started relaxing. I’m in Houston so we were basically always open. I started forgetting my mask in the car started going to bars and concerts. Like i said i wasn’t really educated on what the vaccine actually did. I thought i was immune to it. I actually caught covid going to float the river in San Marcos a few weeks ago. I have tighten back up now with mask and sanitizers everywhere. No more social events. I honestly didn’t think i could catch it again. But i tested positive twice. Two different test.

I still don't get why some people don't know the difference between symptomatic treatment/medication and a vaccine. It's a virus,you can't cure a viral infection,you can treat it or use a vaccine to lessen the damage the viral load will do to your body/immune system before you get infected,it's not a bacterial infection you can cure with anti biotics so you can get covid while vaccinated but the risk of ending up on a ventilator or in an induced coma are greatly reduced.

This is why the numbers went up

people stop wearing mask and washing they ass, and wondering why the numbers went back up

soon as the shyt started fizzle out, people lost discipline, when they should've just kept going until the cases were zero

now you have people spreading the virus because they are vaccinated and think they can't spread it

which isn't a really a vaccination because it doesn't grant you immunity

you will catch covid just as easily without the shot if you were likely to get it before

you just won't get sick, just like a lot of unvaccinated people who are untested and have covid, but don't know it because they aren't sick

so everyone wearing a mask is still the only option to stop the virus spread

I mean the flu was stomped out completely because of masks, and covid numbers were dwindling because of masks, so the masks work when it comes to stopping the spread

It's a good vaccine. It basically gets better with time and eventually reaches the same efficacy rates as the other vaccines. Also JJ was the only vaccine tested during a time where variants were more widespread so those efficacy rate numbers for Pfizer and Moderna are probably lower now than when they were tested a year ago. It's the most underrated vaccine IMO. All 3 vaccines will protect you from death and severe symptoms.

I got the J&J in early May. I was anticipating all the side effects but I only had minor arm soreness until the next morning. In fact, I actually had to remind myself that I actually got vaccinated due to not suffering fatigue, headaches, nausea, etc.
