When Bengals lose, it’s Burrow’s fault
When 49’ers lose, it’s Purdy’s fault
When Lions lose, it’s Goff’s fault
When Packers lose, it’s Love’s fault
When Cowboys lose, it’s Dak’s fault
When Ravens lose, it’s Lamar’s fault
When Dolphins lose, it’s on Tua’s fault

….but somehow someway everyone pegs down Mahomes to prop Allen up and blame everyone but Allen when they take the L

Not to the extent of Allen at least. When Baltimore had a slow start, brehs are ready to throw Lamar under the bus because “He finally got his weapons, and he still a fraud”. Josh Allen and that AFC shootout nearly 3yrs ago with Mahomes, had bought him more goodwill than any QB I’ve seen. Your receiving core shouldn’t dictate your questionable decisions. Especially when you have a defense that is keeping things close for you. Every mistake counts. He’s basically being asked to be game manager, and doing a horrible job at it. That pick before the half was atrocious.
He has moments of greatness last night. But Joe Brady was coaching like he was scared of JA making a costly mistake. And to be fear, he nearly did. JA almost threw a pick. But that offense wasn’t moving to win. Dropped passes aside, they coached scared in the 4th. A lot of check downs and dink and dunk. Which, ideally, that’s what you want from JA because you can’t trust his decisions sometimes.
