@adonnis - pull up, there's refreshments
He's just trying to expand the boundaries of hip-hop. Even if he fails I wish more rappers were like that.

I'm really tired of people saying this. He isn't expanding the boundaries of anything other than how shytty he can make his music.

Lol... I can't get mad because I never considered him a rapper to begin with.
So from that perspective he's done well for himself

Yeezus is our version of Radiohead's Kid A. Prior to Kid A, Radiohead made three albums that revolved around amazing SONGS. Along the way, they made the masterpiece Ok Computer which featured a lot of experimentation but the shyt never went too far. The songs still came first. Then they went off the deep end and dropped Kid A and everyone stood around and acted like the shyt was brilliant when it was awful. Why? Because it was Radiohead. People were afraid to admit that it sucked because they were afraid it would make them look ignorant. After all who wants to be the village idiot? The SONGS on Yeezus are just bad. It doesn't matter why they are bad they are just bad. So Kanye brushed up on his Trent Reznor and dusted off some old Underworld ideas. OK cool, whatever, but the shyt is not breaking any new ground. And the SONGS are terrible. The hardest part about being a pioneer is never forgetting about the songs. Radiohead eventually figured this out. I am sure Kanye will too.But in the meantime, let's quit acting like this so-called art is anything less than a hot mess.

He's acting like he's fighting for his right for his music to exist. The problem is he doesn't have a cause. NWA had it with Straight Outta Compton. Eminem had it with Marshall Mathers LP...those were reactionary albums. This is not.

Breh, there's honestly no point.
Stans especially Kanye one's are robotic. They can't listen or digest any form of outsider opinion. 'Kanye is a unique genius' and nothing else
I and every unbiased person can clearly see you are saying you don't like the LYRICAL content but they will ignore that and keep saying the same shyt about how these album is pushing envelopes and ignore you're point.
It's the most robotic thing ever![]()

This isn't a hip hop album though thats the thing. Lyricism doesn't really matter as long he brings the energy to match the production.
Punk Rock singers made a whole career out of jus bringing raw energy to the music.

If he wanted to make an album of all songs like bound 2 (which I'm glad he didn't) then it would still be >>> 95% of your favourite rappers so he's not wack.
You just don't like the music
