He needs longevity. The artists you named have done what Kendrick has done multiple times.

but real talk.. idk if there is gonna be another hip hop megastar.

& I think Kendrick is smart enough to realize that.
Since Weezy and Yeezy, I don't think there have been any superstars.

What about Drake and Nicki? :lupe:

No.

No matter how much Interscope, the West Coast, and his backpacking fans hope and pray. Interscope is doing more astroturfing than hoping and praying but the answer is still no.

The dude is nice most of the time. But his hooks/beats aren't commercial enough to be a megastar.

We all know lyrics have nothing to do with it. And if they did that would be another mark against the dude. Has he ever strung more than 2 ideas together? Seems like whatever comes out of his mouth are random rhyming words/phrases.

:dahell: you clearly haven't listened to any of his fukking music to say some dumb shyt like that.

Dude just looks boring. Don't even want to listen to what this nikka has to say.

He can call out every fool from here to the cape of good hope and I wouldn't give fukk. You can't manufacture greatness.

Drake is def a superstar. Nicki i don't think so.

Kendrick can do it though. He has the push and popularity already. The months leading up to his next album will tell us.

Are you gay nikka? The fukk does looks have to do with anything. When you're listening to 2 Chainz and turning up are you starting his face and clothes and looking at the way his chains are swaying back and forth. Or are you actually listening to the music? Vice versa for all the other artists.

How long it take you to type Kendrick's name into google images and look for the photo? :shaq:

Lol at all of the replies in this thread. Kendrick has released 2 albums, both critically acclaimed, and his 1st major label album was the biggest hip hop album released last year. He's definitely on his way. He's got to continue the momentum to album 3 before you can start saying he's a superstar though. His next album will be his "It Was Written" most likely.

I don't think Kendrick is worried about it, he's one of those artists just loves making music. He's eating off the success of his first album, doing shows in Europe and shyt, breh that's where big money is.

It's too early, let the nikka breath, when his sophomore album comes out, I think then we can critique where's his career is really going. I wouldn't call those features selling out. More like smart features, by doing collabs with those artists who are in different genres than his, he's gaining more exposure and fans.

To me, this is selling out:

Yes I'm extremely gay.

Took me less time to type in his name and look for his photo than it took for you to make that post.

He's only two albums in and hasn't hit Platinum as of yet, I can only see his career continuing to grow though.

Drake is the only legitimate star to come out of Hip Hop in this new generation, Nicki got that Popstar shyt going too but she gonna burn out right quick.

:stopitslime: you buggin.

You're whole perception is fallacy. Taking a photo from a photo shoot that has no relevance to his music and saying it's boring. I can do the same thing with any Artist breh.

"You're", huh?

Go for it then, bruh. What another man thinks about another man makes no difference to me.
