Is Kevin Hart as big of a star as Eddie Murphy was in the 80's?

TYRONE GA!
I know most of this board can't stand him, so we're all downplaying him. He's not Eddie's level obviously, but what he is doing is pretty fukking major considering the climate.

I'd argue Kevin is good at what he does, but Eddie is legendary. Let Kev do what he do and stop with the crab in the barrel shyt most of y'all are talking. Anytime a black dude can do what he's doing, let that man eat and put his team on until his star burns out.

I think y'all really fail to understand what he's doing despite the industry, and being black in the industry.

Repped. nikkaz in here sounding like Mike Epps and Aries Spears :skip:

he's much bigger but he's absolutely trash
:what:
You're saying Hart is much bigger than Murphy was in the 80's? OMG dude HELLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOO!!! It's not even close! And I'm not even speaking on talent, although there is no comparison there either.

This is like asking is Chris Brown as big as Michael Jackson was.

He is as famous, for sure. I mean Kevin Hart went from nothing to $60 million dollars in 6 years. Now if you're asking if the content is as good as Eddie, then that's an entirely different convo.

Bruh you gotta be kidding me. Kevin Hart is no way near as popular as Eddie in the 80's. He has no block buster movies like Beverly Hills Cop and 48 hours. His stand upstill aren't funny as Delirous and Raw.

Oh he doesn't have a singing career. Ok I went too far there:russ:

he ask If KEV was as big as a star as Eddie... he didn't ask if Kevin was as funny as Eddie..
understanding the context is essential.

Yeah I think you don't understand the context. He didn't say he was funnier. He simply list what Eddie has done in the 80's. Compare that to what Kevin has done. Then you will see Eddie was the bigger star and more popular.

Ok.... let's checkout Kevin Hart and Eddie Murphy in similar movie scenes... who's acting skills were better?

Kevin Hart - 2014

Eddie Murphy - 1982

That scene in 48 hours vs... :what:
