I understand that too DJax and Garcon are great receivers as well as Jordan Matthews and the former two are gone. I still think he is good but this year will tell i suppose.

Honestly I think they intentionally sabotaged the offense this year to make it so that he wouldn't put up big numbers and they could sign him for a much lower amount. It was the first time in NFL history that a team let go of their top 2 1000-yard receivers. I can see maybe letting one go but BOTH of them?

Yup I think Garcon and Djax got him paid. I also think he is good this year but not 4900 yards good.

What numbers would he have put up with the 9ers roster last year? Dude is benefiting immensely from a stacked supporting cast and a good offensive system.

Luke McCown, Cutler and Fitz would have had good seasons in the same situation.

It's as if he doesn't have a natural feel for the game, and he has no athleticism to balance it out. I think he prepares very well but can't make up for it when things don't go the way they need to. And when he does try it always results in a turnover.

My opinion he's overachieving and we're waiting for him to come back down to earth before committing long term.
