Honestly I think they intentionally sabotaged the offense this year to make it so that he wouldn't put up big numbers and they could sign him for a much lower amount.It was the first time in NFL history that a team let go of their top 2 1000-yard receivers. I can see maybe letting one go but BOTH of them?

he definitely has a case. I do agree that letting his receivers walk was a sign they want to see him lead a team and not count on dynamic receivers. Without DJaxx, his numbers wouldve looked a little more real in the light. Take away 2 1000 yard receivers and see if he can do it with anyone (pause). That being said, they still need to pay him. We have been in QB purgatory since Ive been an adult. I like the stability with the coach even though he gets out coached often, I'd love to see it with cousins as well. We gave all those free agents money for nothing, lets just pay this guy for once.

Shanahan loves the franchise QB with huge numbers.hes a decent volume passer. hes nowhere close to elite or even great qb status. has a knack of turnovers in crunch time. stats go down a good amount on third down, or 10+ yards to go unlike great/elite qbs. hes an average/above average qb - exactly the type of qb who is extremely overrated in the nfl. good enough to not be discarded but not good enough to be great/elite and blocking team in salary and trying new guys.
