Do you actually read the posts and analyze the information we are telling you, or do you read it, ignore it, and then go back to your talking points? As I said D'antoni offense was horrible in the beginning of the season and pau was injured. Of course pau and howard are going to look better with the coach finally changing it to suit their strengths with pau and howard getting healthy.

D'Antoni has made adjustments but as I have said several times. Gasol and Howard have improved for reasons having more to do with themselves than D'Antoni and Kobe. There is no point of arguing further. We are both continuing to say the same thing. Obviously you disagree with my original premise. I understand your position and disagree with it, I hope you fully comprehend where I am coming from as well.
Trust me "mainstream talking heads" have no influence on me. I dont own a TV set, so I rarely watch sportscenter, let alone those first take, around the horn etc type shows. I stream all the games online.

EDIT: I have obviously refuted all your talking points, if you understand what Im saying. If you dont, feel free to let me know which parts confused you, so I can attempt to clear them up

There's no way the Lakers are better off without Kobe entering into the playoffs.

I see where you are coming from. Kobe is indeed their best overall player and an incredible playoff performer.
I'm just thinking for THIS PARTICULAR Laker team. With Nash, Howard and Gasol all in the line up and all playing well offensively. They might even be better because Kobe's high volume of shots and the large amount of shot clock that he takes up, can hurt them and not allow all three guys to get into a groove offensively.

I wish there was a way to prove me right or wrong. I mean even if the Lakers sweep the Spurs (which isnt happening), you can always say that the sweep would be even more convincing with Kobe in the line up. But I mean we'll see how well they do come playoff time.
Honestly I'm not even sure myself they are better off with Nash over Kobe but there is an argument to be made for it. And it's interesting to think about, as long as you are objective.

As long as Nash comes back looking good.

They needed him to carry the offense in the start of the season. All the injuries and the new faces all adjusting to each other.

It seems Gasol and Howard have finally figured each other out. Howard is averagin 21.6 on 65% shootin in April and Gasol is averaging 17-11-6 during the 7 games this month.

They still need a solid offensive presence on the perimeter, especially if they are going to beat the spurs. But if Im a Laker fan I prefer Nash. He's less selfish than Kobe and has better court vision anyhow. He's also a better three point shooter.

Kobe would just be an extra mouth to feed and a huge mouth at that. No need for that with Howard and Gasol finally getting some chemistry. Plus he'd probably take a bunch of poor shots down the stretch. Those fade away 21 footers in the 4th have lost the Lakers a lot of games through the years. Now there is no question who the primary ball handler will be(no not you, metta worldpeace)

I think they have a decent shot to beat the Spurs. As I said it's all dependent on Nash's return and effectivity.

Do you even watch Lakers games??

It actually makes it interesting for both the Lakers and opponents.

OP is correct, lakers are better without Kobe. Empirically it's true.

It's gonna be hilarious to me if the Lakers fukk around and STILL don't make the playoffs anyway, making all of these points moot.
