The Marx False Consciousness thing is like probably his most famous idea outside of Communism itself. Just read his response to me. How can this dude talk about context when Marx literally used the exact example hes talking about in his writing? That just tells me a so called PhD in humanities hasn't studied Marx. That just tells me he's living in Duckberg USA.

To be fair, Marx didn't say anything about false consciousness either, so the PHD guy might be right to ascribe false consciousness in the experiences of Black Americans to DuBois (I'm not that well versed with Dubois' oeuvre).

The entire idea? We don't know that. Engels was also a capable theorists in his own right, and as the phrase appears in his words, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on its use.

This isn't about trying to save me, my thread was a good topic but it got derailed because of kp404 and his obsession with me. he started throwing insults at me like a child instead of countering what i said. he follows me in every thread like an annoying clit flea feening for p*ssy juices when he could just put me on ignore and keep it movin.

Engels is a smart guy but it's called Marxism for a reason. Marx created the framework for the idea of False Consciousness and attributing it to DuBois under any circumstances is just nonsense. It's like me attributing the social contract to MLK
