Kyrie keeps saying his focus is helping Boston win a championship, and after the season is over, he'll discuss with Boston what his intentions are.

The BIGGEST problem with that is, he can walk for nothing if they wait.

He might believe the world is flat, but he knows Boston has to trade him.

Even worse, he won't even say, 'I definitely see myself in Boston long term, but ....'

You don't have to sign the extension now, and lose out on 80M .. OBVIOUSLY, but to not even make it known you want to stay?

In three separate interviews, all within the past few weeks, he refuses to say if he wants to be in Boston long-term. That is basically begging Danny to trade him. Then the whole Knicks story leak last week?

I been saying they need to trade Kyrie. They came real close to the Finals without him and they can get a ton in return. I think Kawhi would be a perfect fit there

Yeah.

As I stated in the OP, they will have no choice, since he's been so non-committal. He knows Danny Ainge is a ruthless wheeler and dealer, so I don't see Kyrie making it beyond the All-Star break.

You really gonna act like Danny didn't trade IT after he played on a bum hip? Why would Kyrie commit to Boston after that? :childplease:

Facts, but without even verbal commitment from Kyrie, what is Danny supposed to do?

Even if you think Kyrie is dumb enough to not know, his agent damn sure would know he is forcing Danny's hand.

The Celtics are not gonna trade their best player :comeon:. And they can’t seeing as he’s a free agent next year. Don’t be dumb.

Why cant they if the other team knows they have a shot at resigning him. Its obvious they don't even need him. Look how far they got without him. Going all the way back to Duke Kyrie has never been available when his team needs him the most anyway. Dude is the luckiest basketball player alive. Him for Kawhi is a win win for both teams

So, the only option is to let him play out the year, and walk for nothing? :gucci:
Ainge created that issue for himself with the IT move :yeshrug: no player with any sense is gonna wanna commit to Boston for the long term

If im Kyrie im only signing 1 year deals with Boston

1. Most teams(with sense) arent gonna want a player who's gonna be a free agent the next season

2. If they DO happen to trade him he can pick his destination at the end if the season

Yes. You play out the year and sign him next summer. Nobody is trading for him for a half year rental and he hasn’t given any indication he wants to leave.

Kyrie had a list of teams he wanted to be traded to. Trade him to one of those teams(NYK;MIA;MIN;SA).
