Game 7 eastern Conference finals. He’s the best player on the team, there number 1 offensive option. Just because they got far without him doesn’t mean they don’t need him to win a championship. Because they were damn good this season in the regular season and playoffs both even when Kyrie wasn't playing.

Because even with Tatum, Brown, and Rozier in their 1st or 2nd years, they made it to Game 7 in the ECF.

All three of those guys are taking a step up, and Hayward is coming back, and the Celtics can get something in a trade for Kyrie, and they have FOUR draft picks next year that they can put into trade deals too. So they definitely don't "need" him especially with all the additional assets they could add next year.

Especially with Kyrie's almost constant injury issues.

Hell, they don't really need Hayward. I would trade him too if possible.
