How do you determine who is of substance?

Then to reduce the pro-Kyrie for MVP crowd down to Kobe-Stans ...

...I see what is going on here. Are you a Lebron fan who is always debating Kobe fans? This is so horrible a position to take that I have to assume you are emotionally vested in Lebron being considered the MVP, and making a solid argument was of no concern to you.

Lebron had the better statline. OBVIOUSLY. Iggy won an MVP average 16, 5, and 4. How did he manage to win it?

Kyrie made so many big plays that THAT is why many felt, despite Lebron's greatness, it would not have been criminal if Kyrie had won it.

I saw a lot of people saying that. Hell, I thought it, too. I remember walking away thinking Kyrie was the MVP, with all the timely plays he made.

I mean, hell, Lebron is no stranger to crazy statlines and walking away with the L. Statlines alone don't make you the most important player in a victory.
Iggy didn't really deserve that Finals MVP though. :francis:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Ainge created that issue for himself with the IT move :yeshrug: no player with any sense is gonna wanna commit to Boston for the long term

If im Kyrie im only signing 1 year deals with Boston

1. Most teams(with sense) arent gonna want a player who's gonna be a free agent the next season

2. If they DO happen to trade him he can pick his destination at the end if the season
I don’t see why the IT looks bad for ainge. Yea he played on a bum hip. Yes his sister died and he played. But he was under contract. He WANTED to play. He didn’t decide to play because Boston. He would have played if it was the sixers, heat or anyone else in the playoffs

That didn’t make him a max player. He wasn’t one then or now. But he didn’t trade him to some bum ass team. He traded him to the 8 time finals appearing, Lebrons.

What IT did after that wasn’t on ainge. He talked hisself out of Cleveland. They damn sure could have used him more than JR. But running his mouth got him shipped out of there early

Y’all really think any GM in the league would keep their injured, small, max contract wanting player in that situation?
