It wasn’t just Rodney King. Tensions were already high when 15-year-old Latasha Harlins was killed by a Korean store owner. Step 1.



The Korean store owner was given a very light sentence: only placed on probation and had to do community service. Black folks around the area were pissed. That was step 2.

The week before the riots they solidified the Korean lady being not guilty of murder unanimously 3-0 on April 21,1992 in the court of appeals. Step 3.

They had better get it right at this point because the tension was crazy at this point.

Rodney King officers were found not guilty the week after on April 29, 1992 and the riots started right then.

People thought they were going to get justice for at least something but got fooled again. Rodney King wasn’t the only piece, but more like the final ingredient to make the shyt go bad.

Black folks were rioting, headed towards Koreatown and Rooftop Koreans started shooting. The cops let them open fire as evidenced by no SWAT teams being called on the shooters. They let them post up with long range rifles on top of a gun store for nearly two days like that. You think they’d have gone on that long if they were shooting at White people?

30 years later Trump Jr. and MAGA are calling the Korean shooters legends and letting them hold the MAGA slogan for shooting at Black people.

In theory I have no issue with it but when we are all struggling together it's okay but when it comes to us getting our paid dues they don't like it.
