What this stat (and eye test) really tells me is that Kobe will take whatever shot in clutchtime while Lebron will mostly only take makeable ones. Bron will pass the ball if the shot he has seems too difficult, so it depends what kind of player you want, the one you know will "go for it" no matter what -Kobe- or the one who will do a good basketball play but maybe pass to a player with less talent -Lebron-. We all have in mind hard shots Kobe has taken these past years, Lebron not that many. But we've all clowned Lebron for "passing up" shots late in games too. Kobe's prob the GOAT "bad-shot maker", which is a good and bad thing if you think about it.

I think the main mistake Kobe -and Melo- coaches have made these past years is going full iso in clutch time. I don't have stats but I think whenever they were actually coming off picks or whatever both were far more efficient. I can't lie, these later years whenever Kobe or Melo caught the ball above the 3 pt line and "went to work" I'd get frustrated because I always felt that it was like a 70 % chance it would end up in a couple pump-fakes and a contested mid-range fade-away.

The only clutch Lebron shot I can remember is his miss against the Spurs where Ray Allen then got the lucky game winner :troll:
What happened in that game 7 tho:troll:

doesnt matter or bother me personally

what kobe did to my SUNS multiple years is more than Lebron could ever do
and kobe constantly shyt on the spurs ... let alone literally bailing Lebron and them out in the olympics

Kobe has actual clutch shyt not just regular season bullshyt
Lebron has that pistons game ... and the shot on the bulls last year

Why would you want the guy that is more prone to taking a bad shot ie a shot that has a lower chance of going in in a key moment? :dwillhuh:

We've gone from "Bu...bu...but Kobe is more clutch" to "Bu...bu...but Kobe's percentage is lower in the clutch because he takes bad shots and that is somehow not clearly a negative thing"

Being too aggressive can be just as harmful to your team as being too timid.

:mjlol: @ the "bu bu but Kobe takes harder shots" argument. Admitting he takes horrible shots that dont put his team in the best position
That's the part that's always had me all :dahell: is that they somehow think taking bad shots and missing them is a good thing
