After listening to that new Delonte West interview one thing really stuck out besides him basically admitting to smashing Gloria. Dude said LeBron asked him if he wanted to become a Cav and made it happen. Has there ever been a player who had as much power in an organization as LeBron has in Cleveland?

Dude is about to get a 1st overall pick traded, actually he's about to get two 1st overall picks traded because of who he wants to play with. I don't think that has ever been done before. Teams don't trade their 1st overall picks under any circumstance yet LeBron wants it so he's about to get it.

And before any Laker fanboys come in here and say Kobe had Shaq traded that was the only power move Kobe ever pulled and it was only because he could've left and it was either him or Shaq and Shaq was older so he had to go. Wiggins is 10 years younger than LeBron is.

Plus LeBron has the power to get guys like Mike Miller and James Jones contracts. Dude is basically the GM there, has there ever been a nikka that had this much pull in an organization?

If he had so much power, why did he not recruit the players he wanted the first time in Cleveland?

And when talking about 1st overall picks, it's not like we're talking about Chris Webber or Shaquille O'neal.

I wouldn't say he was the first with this kind of power. Most stars on his level have that kind of pull. I would say he is the first to position himself in such positions of flexibility. Not to say Cleveland wouldn't be looking to get Love anyway but they'd probably be more reluctant to give up Wiggins if Bron wasn't pushing for it AND didn't have the option to bounce next year. Most guys sign the longest deal possible in their primes. Bron's last 3 contracts have been 3 years, 6 years (but really was only 4), and now 2 years...all in his prime. I could see Mike or Kobe or Shaq wielding similar power if they put flexibility over security/money during their peak years.

Hard to say...it's either him or Jordan...I mean Jordan literally "industrialized" the NBA...

Lebron has caused seismic shifts that were unheard of though based on his personal decisions....

I remember when Jordan first retired in 1994....and the media coverage of that was NOTHING compared to when Lebron first decided to go to Miami...or when he decided to go back to Cleveland.

I swear the Earths axis shifts a little whenever Lebron has a "decision" to make.

I used to think like this but I look at my team and I see Steph Curry couldn't didn't even have enough power for Mark Jackson to keep his job. He couldn't even get his little brother a contract with the team besides a D-League gig and Steph is as big as any star outside of LeBron and Durant.

Didn't Jordan want The Bulls to keep Phil and they refused and that's what made him retire?

Steph is nice but :comeon: at him being on the level of Bron, Kobe, Mike, or Shaq.
