Is it possible to discuss this dude based upon what has actually occurred with standards that don't shift? What does people calling for it or athleticism have to do with being "the man"? If you wanna say Bron shoulda done it because people called for it then that it one thing. But to try to evoke the history of "the man" as if the dunk contest is a pre-requisite is just silly. I don't know...Karl Malone? Charles Barkely? Do they count?

Dwight Howard was a star when he did it. John Wall is a star, he was in it last year. Kobe was a rookie when he did it, he wasn't even leading his team let alone the league so why does he count? Your criteria is kinda all over the place...

You call Bron a "qualified dunker" cuz he jumps high, but if he's not creative, which is how they judge the contest...then how qualified is he? Thats just not his thing, every player is different.
