I kind of agree with the threastarter on this one. It's hard saying the last decade because of the transitional phase beats went into but the last 5 years definitely.

I don't think Kanye is fully responisble for that sped up soul sample sound either. Dipset and heatmakers had just as much to do with that getting big.
