D5 was trash..Wayne is a trendsetter no doubt..but musically he's falling off..Last Best Song he had IMO is "How to Love" Everything else been kind of forgettable music, and far from timeless..Music should be timeless, and that's the type of music drakes making right now IMO.. He has songs on his new album that I feel will hold up years from now

CLEARLY he's one of the most successful rappers of all-time, that shyt isn't even questionable. Whether or not you consider him a great rapper or an all-time great lyricist is anybody's opinion, but not many rappers have achieved his level of success. I mean... how many rappers have gone platinum in three separate decades? How many rappers have sold a million copies in their first week? shyt, how many ARTISTS/CELEBRITIES period have transitioned from childhood/teenage fame to adult fame? The list goes on. I don't even fukk with Wayne's music like that, but he's a success story.

I don't know a rapper that has been on the top of the rap game for this long.

Seems like he's been a top 5 rapper (popularity wise) since a little after Carter I (2004) when he was screaming, "best rapper alive, since the best rapper retired."

Then all of those Squad Up and Dedication Mixtapes made everyone respect him.

Then Carter II dropped, definitely was top 5.

Carter III going Platinum in a week made him a rockstar, crossover household name.

He's influence on Pop Culture is unmatched. (come to the DMV)

President Obama acknowledged him.

Besides Jay-Z, no one compares really.
