Is Los Angeles overrated ?

I'm a New Yorker who loves LA. Made me realize us New Yorkers really are mean as fukk. Greater LA area, Hollywood, Venice Beach, etc is soooo chill. Like another planet really. I was shown nothin' but love (in NorCal too).

I know people say that black females get shytted on there, but I found that if you're pretty with a good sense of style and not you'll get your fair share of attention

You can find a pretty decent spot for $1000. My spot is 875 and I live in a clean neighborhood with pretty much everything within in minutes (mall, gym, grocery, food joints).

I've seen some apartments for 800 in L.A. are those the gang areas? If not I may check them out. I put in the ones for $700 - $900. I'm shocked that rent in L.A. is cheaper than Seattle. Well I'm still in the stage of decinding between the two.

I was just out there and Bay Area >>>>>> LA by MILES. LA was so wack compared to San Francisco/Oakland.

Also, Cali seems like its nothing but Asians. Everywhere I went

The bay was dope growing up, but gentrification, the exponential rise in cost of living, the increase in transplants, and the dilution of the bay's culture have all made this place

All in all, DMV is the best metro in the US IMO. I wanna move back so bad

Nope, I'm in the San Gabriel valley. Its still within LA County but east of Los Angeles. Check temple city, Arcadia, san Gabriel, and Alhambra. All good neighborhoods.

unless you make serious money you will be no where near the hot spots. thats the problem with these cities because in those palm tree ridden streets and sunny skies money matters. if your in LA,Miami or San Deigo and are not wearing top end clothing driving a car worth more than 80k you will lose in every thing and thats a fact. these cities are filled with the most competition and the wealthiest of men with their choice of the pickings so if your some average dude dont think your going to a city like this and living it up thats just not gonna happen. unless your idea of living it up and fun in is actually living an hour from the city or more depending on traffic and only visiting the cool spots once a week to window shop that is

was considering moving to San Diego after a job offer, saw how much houses cost, and the cost of living out there. I knew i couldn't afford a house, but their apartments were almost twice as I'm paying in mortage.

manhattan is new york city. and no new yorkers include long island
nyc is big as fck, ppl who havent been there or have only been to manhattan assume the entire city is just like midtown.

i have family that lives in forest hills in queens (random street above), sht is nothing like what i expected nyc to be like.

LA is a world class city and top 5 in the country.
Oakland isn't even top 3 in its own state
