Is losing weight really that hard or are people just lazy?

People also wanna see results too fast and get discouraged when they don't see any

It's not hard to lose weight, it's a small commitment of time every day. It just takes too long for most people to see sizeable results and we're very "instant gratification" in 2015 so most folks who try to lose weight give up after a couple weeks.

So true, once you realize that eating two ice cream sandwiches is a huge deal instead of a small one you start to think of things a bit differently. I could eat 650 calories of junk that will fill me up for about 30 mins eat something else that wont taste as good but be more filling.


I use to never think about calories and stuff, until I really understood caloric intake and how many empty calories things like soda, honey buns, and pizza gave you. I still enjoy those things but instead of eating junk twice or more a day its a once a day thing, and if I burn up all my calories in one sitting well my punishment is starving the rest of the evening. For me that works well... for others it might not so much.

It's gotten me to a point where I just dont want to waste 600 calories on a large fry or 300 on a soda.
So true

I love these Martins hot chips but once I saw that they're 600 calories...I was like :damn: and stopped

yea if I had to guess, I would bet a lot of peoples un wanted weight comes from sodas juices and coffee. there are ~35 grams of sugar in one can of coke. there are ~453 grams of sugar in a one pound bag of sugar.

so if you have around 6 cans of coke and you already near half a lb of sugar :wow: and most people drink 20 ounce bottles , which has ~44 grams of sugar.

You can do this when your young, cuz your body is constantly growing, muscles can actually use the influx of glycogen to fuel muscle growth and expansion. plus your active as hell.

Its different from person to person.

Most people drop weight fast if they cut out carbs and processed food. I know i do.

But some people are emotional eaters, have health issues, are too poor to eat healthy, etc.

So i wouldn't automatically assume every overweight person is lazy.

But people are severely overweight are usually lazy. Cuz you gotta eat A LOT to maintain that type of weight. Its not an accident. They're eating like 5 boxes of donuts a day.

Most people who call other lazy never been fat themselves.

I used to love frozen seasoned french fries from the store, after I started working out I looked at the ingredients and nutrition info on the bag :whoo: :damn:, stopped eating them with the quickness. Much healthier to cut your own fries and bake them.

Like I said, overal conflicting information is an issue you to. Google can lead to a number of methods and topics.

I've been there and had some success so I get the struggle.
That's my point. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm saying it's possible. You just have to do it but most people are to lazy and don't want to put in the work. Sure there may be a lot of conflicting information out there but if you really want to put in the work the right information isn't that hard to find.
