A few weeks ago, I took a Uber to go to work from my house and it charged me $8.13.

However, today, I took a Lyft for the first time, from my house, to go to a grocery store,

which is in the same direction as my work place, but a minute farther, and it charged me $6.80.

So it seems like Lyft might be cheaper.

The only thing that I can account for the cost difference is maybe the weather condition

because when I took that Uber, it was raining mad hard, but I doubt that's the reason why.

Whats yall experience between these two services? They seem pretty much the same to me.

Lyft has a 25% discount going that ends today.

They give more discounts than uuber. That sai d, on average uber is cheaper because there are more drivers

I personally find lyft to be cheaper in general. Plus they are always giving out coupons and discounts, plus they have those passes you can buy for like 10 dollars, that will give you something like 4 dollars off your next 10 rides.

I don't know the specifics on when/why they offer them, but about 2-3 weeks ago, lyft sent me a notification on my phone offering me a 10.00 "pass" that would give me 4.00 off my next 10 rides (I'm sure the rides had to be within a certain time frame from when the pass was purchased, but I don't remember exactly what it was). So I agreed and they charged me 10.00 and on my next 10 rides it automatically took 4 dollars off each ride. So that's 40.00 worth of rides for $10.00.

Lyft is cheaper because they have a tipping option and assume people will tip their driver. Uber's prices are higher because they add a percentage that will be given to drivers as a tip. Uber recently released, or will soon be releasing, a tip option, not sure how it will affect fares tho. But I take lyft 90% of the time, every driver i talk to says they get paid better and treated better by lyft

In my experience, barely. But I still only use Lyft due to a clerical error with uber eats. Uber said I can't add my card because it's already registered with another account, which is my uber eats account. :martin:
