I saw an interview with Bruce about being nominated for Walter Payton Man of the Year.No idea he dropped out of high school before his JR year. Got a GED, played JuCo ball before going to WV.His uncle and father figure was murdered when he was 14 causing him to quit football and school. His mom kicked him out so he had to run the streets. He was homeless and got busted for armed burglary when a friend talked him into going to play juco ball.
It really is possible knj was like a father to him and he was hurt he was fired.
