I agree with OP, me and my friends have been saying Yoda should’ve trained Anakin instead of Obi-Wan who just recently became a Master. Anakin has the highest midiclorian count and Yoda THE JEDI MASTER doesn’t take it upon himself to train him ??? :gucci:

The Jedi seem like big ass flops once you factor in The Clone Wars show. They put Anakins Padawan Asoka on trial for a murder she didnt commit which lead to her leaving the order. This further put doubt in Anakin towards the Jedi order.

I don't think it would've made a difference in the long run.

Whether it's Obi-Wan, Yoda, Qui-Gon, or Mace training him doesn't change the fact that Anakin is just a violent and emotionally unstable person. He probably would've still turned on the Jedi sooner or later.

To keep it 100, and this will be an unpopular opinion, I blame Qui-Gon for insisting they train Anakin in the first place. :yeshrug:

Had they just listened to Yoda and Mace when they said he was too old, a lot of shyt could've been avoided. They had that rule for a reason.

I understand that they broke the rule but shyt shouldn’t you handle the situation the best possible way considering the consequences? The Jedi didn’t do enough IMO

Yeah, but I wouldn't call their decision to train Anakin handling the situation in the best possible way.

In this case, had they just ignored Qui-Gon and followed their own rules, a lot of shyt could've been avoided. Yeah, Palpatine would've still gotten to Anakin but at least they wouldn't have had a traitor on the inside and been caught off-guard.
