I have no problem with Dr King, but I was always Malcolm X first...

But I was shocked when I was at a Angela Davis speech at Long Beach State and she would go around to different parts of the country and if she was talking among a mixture of blacks and whites and Latinos that black people will ignore or hate on the Malcolm X views and praise MLK for everything....

And I thought she was lying until I saw it first hand

Uh yes it does. Because the image of MLK is a man displayed as non violent and peaceful which makes people assume that MLK was out her naked in these streets and folks could run up on MLK and sock him in the face (like in the movie Selma) and that wasn't going to happen in the in the LAST FEW YEARS prior to his death.

And it got some of these Coli TLR fools questioning his legacy and if he was HARD enough for some of these Urkel ass dudes yapping tough on here.
I'm not going back and forth with you about stuff that I didnt address. Having a bodyguard does NOT make you hard. Period. Doesnt matter who you are or what you stand for. THis is a dumb point to argue.A better case can be made if someone is DOLO being hard than it can having security.

I still fail to realize how being on the front lines of fighting for equal treatment and voting rights isn't as pro black as it gets :snoop:
Yall do realize you can think Malcom and martin are both right in their beliefs, which they were.
And yall do realize Malcolm never came to the south, and it took waaaay more heart and courage to be down here than up in NY.
But again as black folks yall wanna find more ways to divide amongst eachother

....
We still aren't ready for MLK's economic points of view. People are in general uniformed ... how many for example have read any of his books?

MLK was never explicitly pro-black.
Blacks only made up one of the many groups he championed for (He also championed for poor whites).

Guess who shot him in his face.:francis:
Historical revisionism is the reason he's unpopular here. Coli posters only know what they were taught in school, so they think he only "had a dream."
nikkas know nothing about the labour movement :francis:

Correct.

His labor and anti-war rhetoric is what earned him notoriety. Had he focused solely on black plight he would have been merely been ignored similarly to other black activists at the time.

Black issues are not even reported in the news cycle.

I mentioned the other day that the Westboro Baptist Church has a longstanding multi-decade track record of protesting racism and denouncing racists and aparthied. But the media does not cover this, except in instances where they can try and discredit them (like by speaking with disgruntled former members). The Westboro Baptist Church has numerous NAACP awards and humanitarian awards and recognition from black governmental bodies, black congresses, etc for fighting for black rights... but the only thing the media ever covers is when they protest gays with the GodHatesFags signs.
The Westboro Baptist Church has represented and defended blacks rights in court against human rights violations. None of that is ever covered. Their decades of work is swept over. But if one of them uses a slur you can bet the media will be out there in droves.

Its all agenda.
There are people that the media wants you to hero worship like King, and people they want you to despise, like the Westboro Baptist Church.
Is King a hero? perhaps.
Is the WBC a villain? possibly.

But the narrative is in place to paint it so regardless of the actual facts. That should be concerning to the informed observer.

You coli dudes are worse than racist sometimes because you just make up random shyt. And you like run your fukking mouths without analyzing the whole gotdamn thread so let me recap.

OP believes MLK was seen as a pacifist too soft for the coli urkel fan club negros

I said MLK wasn't as soft as history makes you think because he had protection (which wasn't paid for numb nuts they were other civil rights marchers) so you ain't just running up on him like that.

Now here comes your silly ass to divert the energy and start making Taylor Swift comparisons questions in regards to MLK's bravery and toughness.

Not only are you out of line you disrespect his legacy by even mentioning that bytch in this thread.

I dont give a fukk about who you were referring to prior. I didnt quote him. I quoted you. That wasnt my point. I was very specific about what I replied to. Hence, the BOLD. Hence, the RED. You said multiple things and I addressed the one I disagree with. I dont need to see what you value the variable when you did addition first. It doesnt matter if protection is paid or not. How many people you have defending you means absolutely nothing about your physical or mental fortitude. Never did say anything about MLK's attributes or question anything about him. In fact, it has nothing to do with him but everything to do with your stupid ass comment and using his bodyguards as the catalyst. Could give a fukk how you feel, you call pull up or be mad on the internet.

MLK was surrounded by a TON of c00ns...

they the ones who sanitized his legacy...

why else u think his heart aged so fast???

cause u expect white supremacy from white folks, but not from people that look like u...

two of those c00ns played a HUGE role in his assassination.. billy kyles and jesse jackson...

MLK: 10 Things You Might Not Know

8. After his death, King's autopsy found that while he was just 39 years old, he had the heart of a 60-year-old. Doctors concluded the pressure he had experienced in his career had stressed and aged his heart.
