is mass effect 3 worth playing?

And the entire series is built on the one thing they didn't deliver on. If you don't mind that but it doesn't make much sense to me....and definitely not to the point of dissing people that just expected what was advertised.

I don't remember. I think it was maybe a year after it dropped. Definitely before the gawd Mass Effect 2 came out.

As far as it not delivering, I kinda did the math on that in the beginning and knew there was no way every choice was gonna have impact, so I guess I wasn't too surprised by the ending.

Edit: Besides, I wouldn't have wanted it to matter at the end anyway, I would have wanted it to change the course of the gameplay during the game.

Great game and great build up the ending is just literally the woat ending. Me2 is the most complete game. But imo 3 was the most fun.

They streamline a bunch of features of the game. So, it definitely feels more like an action game rather than a RPG.

But, I don't know how you could stop at 2 if you love the series.

This may be the only thing that seperates me from all the hardcore fans.

I didn't play any of 'em until the 3rd dropped. I had never even heard of Mass Effect 'til then.

Only thing I'll add to that--because we've beaten it to death--those choices weren't rendered useless. If anything; the entire premise of the game was to defeat the Reapers. The idea of living peacefully with them wasn't introduced 'til the last game. But, I was too angry at them to even think about that.

The ending was handle sloppy. And I've come to realize that the ending--sans the Extended Cut--was pretty bold. And not in a good way.

But, those decisions mattered simply because of how they may the story that much more immersive. And it made stuff from 1 to 2 to 3 feel that much more real.

If anything; the ending was too vague. But, as bad as it was; after beating all three multiples times, it was forgivable.

The combat of 3 is the best out of the trilogy and the DLC adds a lot to the game from what I understand. It does feel a bit rushed at times and too action driven instead of plot focused in comparison to the other 2 games. Its not that the story was super awful but it wasn't compelling to me in hindsight, it was just a bunch of cheesiness. My other issue was that the responses weren't all that good because no matter what you chose they felt and sounded similar to me.

Overall, it was a decent game that ended the series

To me the most fun thing about the game is the multiplayer though; I just like building up my arsenal, unlocking characters and facing off against the enemies. Its a bit repetitive if you just marathon-ing it but as a quick pick up and play mode, its legit.

As far as the question, yeah play it. The game is great until the last 5-10 minutes. And the multi-player is bananas. I haven't played it in a while but I had basically all the best gear/characters maxed out.

Most overlooked multiplayer ever. I put in a crazy amount of hours and it was always fun. Truly underrated.
