Pure speculation, but Master P mentioned that he hopes "Verizon will call him real soon" about his next album.

Whether or not he's been in talks with them I don't know. But do you think more rappers will be aiming for corporate partnerships now that Jay has done the Samsung thing?

I mean in a roundabout way this type of thing has been going on since Sprite commercials. But do you think hip hop will get to the point where it's such a commodity the whole essence of it is jeopardized?

So basically instead of just talking about name brand products and luxury items in hip hop songs and ocassionally getting a check for saying the name..... a company will just pay the rapper as spokesperson more or less, by financing their album ......
