there will be no Master Percy slander around me. He gave us 90s southern brothers a hero we could throw in our eastcoast brethren faces. They'd get so heated talking that "real hip hop shyt" and we'd just blast no limit shyt throughout the barracks

Yeah he did some "heavy biting" but the best no limit shyt was all their own. Who could deliver "Swamp Aggin" like P... or time check my crackhouse...Bourbons and lacs.....make em say ughhh.....the joint on the how to be a player sdtk....and many many others. Lots of other and even more successful or critically acclaimed rappers have bit other's wave so P ain't the only one.

Master P's problem is extreme tunnel vision, lol, always felt like this and this is ultimately what made him corny and fall off. His sole focus is promoting and pushing his brands, that's it, nothing else, and he'll do/endorse/say anything to do so. That sounds good...but when you show up to big events wearing P Miller clothing and Master P sneakers with a No Limit bookbag on eating TRU chips with a "Bout it 2, June 18" bandana on and all that type shyt, you are promoting your brands at the expense of looking absurdly goofy.

Master P seems like one of them guys who will never say no when an opportunity is presented, lol, he doesn't have the foresight to see or even care that the shyt may compromise his whole shyt. Look at someone like Baby, he heavily pushes his brands but he still got his "swag" and aura about him that makes him seem cool to the people. Master P lacks that part, he's just all "See it, Copy it, Promote it, Sell It" 24/7.

Usher was on the MJ/Bobby Brown wave
Messed up Janet Jackson giving her the sound he gave Mariah but she didn't have the vocals like that
He didn't produce the song but it was on his label - JKwon Tipsy bit Grindin by the Clipse.

So after binging a good amount of early Master P, on top of already having fresh years for his music well up until 05, and a couple mixtapes in the 2010s…what exactly was his own style??? I’ve heard him be Scarface, Ice Cube, Lil Jon, 2Pac, got on the Chicago Drill wave, made some anthemic point to the sky music with some BoB/Skylar Grey hybrids, got on the kid rapper wave with Romeo, the white rapper wave with T-Bo, and made some knockoff Cash Money music…did he ever have his own style????
