I told my momma when I was a kid that numbers don’t grow in nature so they are not natural and man made. Therefore I cannot respect math. This is why I never had good grades in math. I don’t have time for all that silly shyt. Who the fukk popped up one day talking bout, this is number 1:gucci: Man you better get the fukk out my face with that shyt. It’s not natural. I hate math. fukk that shyt. Tough ass problems for no reason. shyt dumb
such a surface level thought process.

i hope you trolling

Actually, numbers specifically in relation to multiplication occur naturally in nature. Literally all over the place, breh
.

Have you ever heard of the fibonacci sequence? Its the spiral effect you see in leaves or seashells and it is the result of nature naturally mutiply natural entities such as the Calcium carbonate found in conch shells or the cell walls of plants by the number 1.618 exactly to create a predictable pattern of growth/shaping. Its seen so often in nature that it is often called the golden ratio.:whoo:

Same could be said for the semi-exact quantity of pie (3.14) which is often found in nature. Things such as the flow of rivers, the circumfrence/growth of tree trunks, the pigmentation of animal furs are all based on the unit pie. One that most people arent aware of is that pie is an important constant in determining the space between any zebra's stripes in the wild. :ohhh:

I could go into more exotic concepts like the numberE or even "imaginary numbers" which can also be modeled in natural phenomena, but i'll stop here for now.:whoa:

@Double Burger With Cheese , lemme just finish up by saying that those problems are most certainly usefull and do not occur for no reason. We endure the initial difficulty of learning math so that we can better defend what is ours. It doesnt escape my attention that the first atom bomb was developed by mathematicians, not soldiers. And who knows breh? perhaps you wouldve gone on to develop the black equivalent of the H-bomb if you had changed your stance on math earlier in life? :jbhmm:
thank you

If they stopped putting kids in remedial groups as this lowers their self esteem

I had the most success in my studies when I had a one on one tutor who would answer my questions that I couldn’t ask in group class
which is why education isn't just about school

tutoring should be a part of our education culture

this is something that often falls on parents.

somebody is going to come talk about parents not having the time and money to blah blah... if that's an issue don't have kids. we should look at providing education like a necessity like food a clothing for a child. that perspective should set it's place for parents and kids. so conversations don't just fall on bad teachers and schools. education starts and ends at home.

nikkas writing whole dissertations in here about this shyt. nikka numbers not natural. They don’t even exist physically.

Also, coli nikkas bout some of the most obtuse people on earth. Of course my post was tounge in cheek. Not all the way though. I really told my momma numbers not natural cause they not. And I also used to ask who the fukk popped up one day talking about this is number one. Actually, I was an inquisitive child and was encouraged to ask questions like that. This is how you become know as….That nikka. It was my birthright. shyt was written on a stone for me to be that nikka in the ancient times and that stone is now an artifact. But yeah back to math. Man, fukk a proof. nikkas doing problems with 70 different equations and shyt:hhh:

Trollin. But this post answered your question exactly

Breh, the only question in this entire thread I asked was who the fukk popped up one day talking about this is number one. nikka I don’t care about spirals in nature. I don’t care about math like y’all and not passionate about that shyt.

You don't think cavemen thousands and thousands of years ago never had to count anything?:russ::russ:

Folks been quantifying things in life since the first homo-sapien started dabbin paint on walls. Just took them a while to come up with the actual number system, but trust they had symbols and shyt that meant the same thing.

Im just saying, I always wondered who the first human was to assign numbers to some shyt. I legit think this why I was never great in math. I literally couldn’t get past how all this shyt was invented. I would be like, who said this was number one? And people just agreed? It’s all just concepts. Yes it makes sense and works and improves the world but it’s all basically just made up. I could never buy in and fully commit to math. I don’t trust nikkas with secret origins and shyt.

When languages were first made, each one had their own way to say "Number one", and every other number. Before that, they just used symbols and markings. I get what you're saying, but saying numbers are made up and invented is like saying words for things in life are made up and invented thus not serious:russ:. Nothing secret about it:lolbron:

I recommend you read some books on historical linguistics. Sounds like that's more of the realm you're thinking in. Might make you like the subject in general too.

Relate math, numbers and money to things the average person understands and they’ll be able to excel. We literally ALL understand rudimentary economics for example, but things are explained in such a convoluted way that often times our knowledge, or ability to associate A-B is lost.

I never said math was not serious though. I literally said it’s useful. But that don’t negate the fact that it’s all made up. You can’t discover or unearth math. You can only make it up. It’s literally all in your head. This is why I don’t fukk with math like that. I have a more philosophical mind than mathematic mind. Y’all nikkas doing equations. I’m asking questions. These type of questions are actually smart questions to ask. I know this cause I been asking them since a kid, and I’m smart

Curious, do you think words for things like the sky, grass, etc. are made up too? Or are they different from numbers because you can see and feel them?

Many of the greatest philosophers were also mathematicians because they realized that math is the language of the universe.

:mjlol: Just read the textbook and do the practice problems. It's just that simple.
