Meth got him on the Blackout 2 album. Red even admits it.
maybe but i think my fandom dropped off before this so i never listened ........
but gaddamn at me being hype to hear them and then slowly realizing how nasty red verses would be compared to meth one which were solid and pretty good......

Meth admitted Red got him on Blackout but they both acknowledged he got him on Blackout 2. Also, according to both of them, Blackout was rushed as hell because Def Jam at the time was putting out albums like fast food and gave deadlines for albums and made the artists work toward it with the quickness and often took albums before they were ready

I guess it's preference because I've never really felt like Meth got outshined terribly except on How High, not the remix single but the full track. Redman was on something else on that song.

Method man has a lot of talent but seems like no work ethic.
i feel that it must be this......cause meth is so dope as a rapper but i feel he never fully lives up to potential while redman who i personally feel is top 15 always punches above his weight

I think the other thing is, he doesn't have to do it. Meth has always been committed to the hollywood thing once he got a taste of it and Redman said on the Combat Jack show that between the two of them, he's much more serious about it and has a better understanding of it. Meth himself has said recently that he doesn't have to rap to feed his family.

During wu's initial run, he dropped his one album which was all a part of RZA's plan. RZA told them all where to sign, and determined the rotation of who was dropping and when. Then he does Tical 2000 in 98, then blackout in 99 and then another solo in 03. In between then, he's doing the hard knock life tour, how high, guest verses, two wu albums, etc. Then the tv show in 03-04, more hollywood stuff and then another album in 06 and since then it's been more wu, wu related stuff, and another blackout. So while there isn't a lot of solo stuff to his name, there is a lot of music with him on it in one way or another so I don't see it as lazy as much as it's him being pulled in different directions and not having the need to put out another album.

Be
Anything Kanye or Lupe related
The Fix
IWW
Stillmatic
Blueprint
Anything Clipse related
TM:101
Anything Bone related

I was thinking about this

Pros

1) He's the most popular member of the most popular/arguably best rap group ever
2) He does have classic songs
3) One of the best flows/deliveries ever, possibly the best

Cons

1) No classic albums
2) Sharp decline in skills for a period before he gained it back
3) Outshined by Redman all through the Black Album
4) Multiple members within his group made better albums than him
kilt biggie on this song

kilt pac on this song

kilt Eminem on this song

still hasn't made a record better than their worst one's since his debut.
