This thread pops up every half a year for 2-3 years on here lmao...

It's November 2021. The last month of the 2000s, December 2009, was a dozen years ago; almost a dozen years ago we entered the 2010s (January 2010)...

It's more than fair to reminisce on the '00s, and people been doing it since around 2015. As the years flipped by its become more acceptable and frequent to get nostalgic on the 00s...

I don't really miss bygone eras because I think time only goes forward, but most people have a soft spot for the era in which they grew up/cane of age. Those of us born 1985-1994 are 00s Babies and that's the era most of us identify with...

And the cats born 1995-2004 will start reminiscing heavily on the '10s in about two or three years, because that's their era. Right now we still too close to the 10s to go hard on nostalgia but it's coming soon...

00s was fun because it's the era I grew up in....

It's objectively a bad era. They basically were robbed of a quality childhood culture wise compared to 80s, 90s and even 2010s for youth coming of age.

Every era bleeds into the next like this, it takes a couple years for an era to form its own identity. The early 80s were an extension of the 70s, the early 90s were an extension of the 80s, and I was around for the early 10s which were an extension of the 00s...

By the time you got halfway thru 2012 there was a morphing of a unique era personality from the 00s, and by the time '13 hit certainly you were fully in and of the 00s...

It's 2021, this year is not particularly distinct from 2019 or '18 or '16, but these first two years of the '20s are transforming gradually in front of us whether we realize it or not. Some time next year and definitely by '23 it'll be easier to note the separation from the 2010s...

Yeah I’m a late millennial and I wasn’t counting the early 2000s. 9/11 and the 90s connection only leave me with vague feelings of the early 2000s

2000s was the goat time all the popular rappers actors and entertainers were in their prime censorship wasnt a thing really at the time and social media wasnt about clout. You had straight club songs were chicks would shake their azz all night and you had the gangsta music and thought provoking music all mainstream. You could be in love openly and a gangsta openly overall people just were themselves even though tech was here. Gaming was dope the comedy was raw shyt even the drugs were better. Every era has good things but the 2000s had a mix of the 90s and a mix of the 10s

Meh...tbh the vibe of the 2000s started changing around 08.

2008 was just one of those years that a lot of shyt happened that just changed life as we know it for real.

2010 to me was completely different vibe from even 06 lol.

as for the thread, due to corona we have people out here feeling nostalgic about 2013-16 so yeah the 2000s is fine
