I started a new job about three weeks ago at a warehouse of a popular furniture brand. It's in returns and for about the first week I was just repackage pieces that got fixed and time and time I would actually sit on the computer and learn something. So for the next two weeks I was doing both but I learned more about making PO's, RA's (request authorization), sending damage claims for appliances, setting up time and dates when the appliances are getting taken out etc. I made a few mistakes but nothing major.
Today I'm told I'll be in a new area doing something totally different, setting up couches and sofas and make sure they're good when customers have a problem with them and learning to drive a flatbed. In my mind, I just got the hang of doing POs, RAs etc now I'm getting moved?
I later find out the current guy there, let's call him SH, he's leaving tomorrow. Now during lunch when I mulling this all over. I remember the boss interviewing some Common Sense looking dude yesterday taking him around and I saw Common talking to my supervisor, similar to my interview process.
I'm still mulling over it, why didn't they have interviews for someone to replace SH when he first gave in his two weeks? And have that potential employee talking to SH learning the ins-and-outs?
I'm still mulling it over, those few mistakes I made did they mean much more?
Did I make too many small mistakes or haven't picked up fast enough?
It's a lot to learn with finding shortcuts and ways around shyt to get the job done. Am I on a short leash before the month is even over?
Is my job on the line brehs?
