So not too long ago I turn on my system to allow my daughter to watch something on YouTube. To my surprise I see a notice saying I must sign into PSN in order to use the app (YouTube) and that my password isn't showing the star symbols and has been cleared from the input space. My email or "Sign-In" ID is still appearing though. :patrice:

So I come on the computer to try to reset my password because honestly I don't remember it, the system sign's in automatically so it doesn't necessarily require me to remember it. But.... I input my email into the password reset process and was told "not a valid email address." :leostare:

So what do the brehs think? I really hope it ain't the case but all signs are leading me to it. :beli:

If so, how do I go about sorting this shyt out? Do I really got to deal with some service reps right now after work man? :beli:

The email account you used is a throwaway?

Your memory isn't as good as you think it is?

Call sony, give them your PSN and have on hand the credit card info you use to pay for Sony shyt. I lost access to my account and they asked me the card number I used to make my last purchase.

If u don't have that you may be fukked and have to make a new account. Hope you don't have any downloaded games

Email isn't a throwaway, and it's already preset onto my system. It's only asking for a password. But when I type that same password into Sony's site, it says invalid.

Eh, my passwords are all pretty similar as they're just different variations of the same thing, but like I said, my email isn't even being recognized by the site...

I've only used a credit card once to make a purchase and that shyt is LONG gone, it was years ago. I've only bought PSN Network Cash cards since... I mean, I can verify the games purchased on there, my birth date any other things but I'm still going to have to wait until tomorrow to call it looks like.

I appreciate the help brehs and any other tips are welcome.

Lol you don't have to call Sony, just use their chat service. Same shyt happened to me after they got hacked a couple months ago. They'll send you a new password to reset your account

I agree, calling sony should have been the first choice, so it does seem kind of :mjpls: fishy

:dwillhuh::leostare: I read online that they're only avalible for calling until 8pm. Thread was posted at 8:07. I sat on the phone for 15mins when I was told by an automated machine that the waiting time would be shorter so I figured it was closed already.

I'm aware they also do "live chat" over the computer but I'd prefer just calling them up tomorrow than going through the hassle, had to take care of little one.

Y'all really going to do me like this right now? What could I possibly be trying to do, get Sony to allow me into account that has NEVER belonged to me? :skip::snoop:

@Willstyles @Mowgli @Brandeezy @Tunez

Thanks y'all, and no I wasn't trying to finesse no one :pachaha:

PSN handled it quick and easy and now I got the 2-Step verification up and running.

Still hard to believe my shyt got hacked though... Like why and how? I have never signed into another console, my pass code ain't no simple shyt either. It's still bugging me a bit.

Just to be on the safe side, I mean when they hacked psn, they stole a lot of info, maybe they just worked their way down to yours
