Navy SEALs training is built for real life combat application with use in multiple weapons in modern combat, but the Shaolin Monk training regimen is no joke, most practiced martial artists couldn't pull it off at it's highest levels.

The SEAL training everyone thinks of BUD/s is literally just the selection process. SEALs aren't considered SEALs by big navy until they complete SQT which is another 6 months. They aren't usually considered "team guys" to the man next to them until they've been on a deployment, which usually involves a 6-month work up that is the hardest kick in the chest they get other than BUD/s.

There are active duty SEALs that have quit ranger school and washed out of special operations training in other military branches.

"Hard" is relative to who you are in the moment against the task set before you.
