I think the defense is better than other games. I can legitimately impose myself on the defensive end. It's usually what wins me games

I'm still fukking disgusted that you can't edit the rosters. All Lakers fans are stuck playing with Jodie Meeks as the starting 2? You can't even use Gasol now because he was hurt to end the season (I know he's playable, but he's rated a 25 and gets tired in 30 seconds). 
From a pure gameplay perspective this is easily the best in the series, all that other shyt you mentioned dosnt apply to my criteriaare you serious
next gen 2k is so gimped. from not being able to edit and create your own rosters and save them on the PS4 hard drive, to missing modes that were available on last gen. and lets not talk about the CPU AI being downrightat all times. especially if you play on HOF. hell, this is the first 2K I cannot beat on HOF mode cuz of the cheating cpu AI. and its blatant cheating where if you're up double digits going into the 4th, you will NOT be able to score.
also the my player has been my fav mode on the 2k11-2k13. but this shyt SUCKS on 2k14. too many pre-planned outcomes. so its basically like u have no control. VC is tied to too many aspects of the game, and you can't even customize how your player looks. you just pick from like 10 generic faces, and u go from there

2K7 felt like the most evolutionary game in the series. I never understood the hype surrounding 2K11. The MyPlayer mode was broken and full of bugs, the A.I. was unrealistic, the Michael Jordan challenges were frustrating trial-and-error fare, and the gameplay wasn't as smooth as it was in past entries. The best part was when you first boot up the game and you're thrust right in the shoes of Michael as he plays one of his most iconic games. The game never won me over again after that, quickly got bored of it and tossed it in the bushes.

2k9 and 2k10 were great. Game has gotten worse every year since.
