Justin Blackman just had 236 yards in a game. Cecil shorts has been one of the better wr in the league this year.

I could analyze the rest of your post but I don't blame you for not knowing much about the jags. We suck :to:

I'm aware of that, you're right about Blackmon he's very good, but prior to last week he's been so-so and I don't think he is the best fit for their current scheme IMO. Cecil Shorts is ok. I don't think you guys should have dumped Jason Hill, dude was a solid receiver. This may be due to the weakness of Gabbert though. But the O-Line is god-awful and that's the root of it all.

I think the unwritten rule used to be you give a 1st round QB 3 seasons of starting to see if he's your guy.............but now that rookies don't make that ridiculous rookie money anymore, I bet teams will immediately draft another another QB the next year.

:stop: Our Oline is decent, and i believe our Offense is decent given decent QB play. Gabbert has just been that bad man... he has very little pocket presence that leads to a majority of the sacks. he has a strong arm but he seems like he is afraid to make throws. I used to think we didnt have the weapons... but after last week vs Houston im starting to think Gabbert is just really THAT bad, the next couple of weeks will be telling....

IMO we have enough weapons on O to be decent. Now our D, we need CB, LB, DE and Saftety help lol pretty much we only good at DT, our starting safeties, one CB and 1 LB lol.

Now Jennings has proven to be pretty bad thus far (damn Parmalee came in and ran better vs Houston smh)

Came in here to say fukk most of yall:ld:

With that said I've been at every home game and Gabbert might be the worst football player I have ever seen..

:to: i be there too bruh.... its a depressing place.... If Henne does even remotely well, i think Gabs is done. Really the only thing saving Gabbert is that there arnt any stand out QBs in this draft.

We picked the worst draft to be the sorriest team in the league

The O-Line is bad or I should say badly coached. I think David Gerrard was getting the ball out quick enough, and the heavy running game made up for it. Here's what I would have done. I would start Chad Henne, he lacks Gabberts physical gifts, but think he can be a smart, accurate in short to medium passes, an experienced QB and he gets the ball out of there.

Looking in to the situation with the O-Line, I say this there is talent there Britton is pretty good too but everyone else are basically lunchpail guys (middling) so the problem has to be either too many guys being switched around and poor coaching, because every metric has you guys being in the bottom 5 in terms of O-Line performace so something has to give there.

It's funny you mention defense because I think though you can improve talent wise I think they are extremely well coached and keep you guys in many of the games. Maybe some depth would help more in the long run. I just think because the offense is so bad the D is just on the field for way too long.

But eitherway Jacksonville is hurting as a franchise and its a shame because they were so hot out the gate in the late 90's early 2000's. I don't want the team to be moved or contracted.

Bruh... you must not have watched many of our games..... the only game the D played decent in was the Vickings and they ended up giving up the tieing TD with less than a minute left at the end of that one... We dont get sacks, our LBs really cant cover (Pos is good though), we only have 1 starting caliber CB and 1 starting caliber Safety, Prosinki sux. Part of the reason the D is on the field so long is because we cant stop teams from getting 3rd down conversions. The D was good last season, this seasons we just have too many injuries early and we not deep enough to compete. We really miss Darryl Smith and Sessions at LB.

The D did keep us in the Raiders game too.. forgot about that one.

But the D has let us down soo much this season, especially in that Houston game.

And you mention Britton, but he has been hurt and moved around alot along the line, our best Olineman by far is Monroe. Monroe has actually been damn good for a while now, we just have been weak at the Gaurd position (damn Whimper). I think our Line is coo, alot of times Gabbert would hold the ball too long, or move right into a sack....

Like i said earlier, the rest of the season will show if it was Gabbert, im sure Henne isnt gonna light it up every game, but if he even plays avg i think Gabbert is gone.....

And if they move the team, it wont be the fans fault, we actually supporting this garbage lol.

:salute: to all my fellow Jags fans who came in this thread with the real story. What people that don't watch us don't understand is we have the same damn thing holding us back now that we did in the Garrard days: QB play. The rest of the team isn't bad. You would think people would realize this after last week w/ Henne.

white qbs drafted that high are never going to face a make or break it situation. he'll spend the next 10 years in the league as a backup, while VY is 30-17 and can't get a job.

The thing that I loved about Henne is that he threw it and gave our wr's a chance to make a play. That's NEVER happened with Gabbert and hell the last year of Garrard's season with us it didn't happen.
